Beginning the Journey of Faith
Baptism is the first sacrament of Christian initiation. Through water and the Holy Spirit, we are welcomed into the life of Christ and become members of His Church. At St. Theresa Parish, we are honoured to walk with families as they prepare for this sacred beginning.
Baptism is the first sacrament of Christian initiation. Through water and the Holy Spirit, we are cleansed, welcomed into the life of Christ, and brought into the family of the Church. For parents, it is also a promise to raise their child in the Catholic faith, supported by godparents and the parish community.
What is Baptism?

Parents are invited to contact the parish to begin preparation and arrange a Baptism date.
Godparents help support the child’s faith journey and should be practicing Catholics able to fulfill this role.
Adults seeking Baptism are invited to contact the parish to learn more about Christian initiation.
